The Huddersfield-born young man has not spent many years away from Yorkshire ccc.  James first represented Yorkshire at under 14s level and from there has gone through the age groups, academy, 2nd XI and finally making his 1st team debut in 2020.

This long association with the club already has come through hard work and constant performances. James scored two big hundreds for the u17 side and a monster 162 for the 2nd XI in 2018. James was rewarded with a professional contract at Headingley ahead of the 2020 season in which saw James make his maiden first-team debut in the T20 Blast.

James was the highest run scorer for Yorkshire 2nd XI and the fifth highest run scorer in the 2nd XI championship. At the end of the season James signed a new one year deal with Yorkshire.

James’s career trajectory is a very exciting one - bring on the summer!
