JJ was destined to be an Ireland cricketer with both his parents and sister all representing their country. The leg-spinner was named in Ireland’s u19s world cup squad in 2018 and in the same year made his list A debut For Ireland A versus Bangladesh A.

The following year JJ made his first class cricket debut against Sri lanka A and also his T20 debut for Munster Reds in the inter provincial trophy. JJ’s talent continues to be recognised and so does his Ireland involvement as in the summer of 2020 JJ was selected in the squad to travel to England for the one-day series.

JJ’s most recent involvement is with the Ireland wolves who are in Bangladesh.
